Crafted in a sophisticated knit of 100% extra-fine merino wool, it's breathable and 100% biodegradable, making it the perfect and most natural alternative to synthetic thermal shirts. The feel of extra-fine merino wool against the skin is difficult to describe with words and easy to understand the moment you put it on: soft, light, and elegant. Also, because wool fibres are antibacterial, Lorianne will never absorb bad odors or leave you with the unpleasant sensation of dampness on the skin. Wool is breathable and a natural insulator.
Wool has an ability (similar to Tencel) to react to changes in the body’s temperature, meaning it keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter.
Wool is usually biodegradable. It decomposes readily, much like cotton and other plant-based fibres. That means once a woollen garment is worn out, you can bury it in the ground, and it will eventually compost.
To make our garments we use RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified Merino Wool.
We pay attention to the smallest details, which is why all our garments follow rigorous standards that control both the chemical and ecological composition of the dyes as well as the recycling and purification of up to 80% of the water used during the process. Always certified by GOTS or Oeko-Tex.
We always recommend checking the composition and care labels of the item, especially for Wool or Tencel garments. In general wash in cold water, at a maximum of 30°C. Use neutral, eco-friendly detergent for machine washing (use the special wool wash program) or hand wash. This way, you will prevent color loss and water pollution. Iron at medium temperature. It is recommended to iron inside out and in the shade to preserve colors for longer. In the case of wool garments, it is recommended to iron them inside out with a towel on top to protect the garment. Dry flat, never hanging, to prevent stretching and deformation..
